Asset Type
Allows an asset type to be defined in classes with associated security regarding who can view, add, edit, and retire assets of this type.
The asset type control is constructed by one, or multiple class tiers. Each class tier can be a label of 50 characters long. The combination of classes forms a unique asset type for which a unique database key is assigned. The asset type then has relationships to security which allows for user actions like; can view assets of this type, can edit assets of this type, can add assets of this type.
- Apply business rules based on user events (load, add, modify)
- Extend the Adapt asset type library to client specific asset types
- Extend security to more granular user groups controlling editing rights on any given asset type(s)
- Control the rules allowing asset types to relate (parent, child, linked) to other asset types
